Kid Cudi Checks Into Rehab With 'Depression And Suicidal Urges'

Singer promises fans he'll be back and better for November​

Kid Cudi has opened up about checking into rehab for "depression and suicidal urges".

In a message to pans posted to his Facebook page, the musician and actor said:

"I am not at peace. I haven't been since you've known me.

"If I didn't come here, I would've done something to myself. I simply am a damaged human swimming in a pool of emotions everyday of my life."

Cudi went on to assure fans his upcoming album - Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin' – is "still on the way".

In his Facebook post, Kid Cudi says he hopes to be finished with rehab in time for Complexcon, a festival in California in November where he is set to do a live performance.

The 32-year-old, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, said he hoped to recover in time to play Complexcon, a festival in California, this November.

"I'll be looking forward to seeing you all there for high fives and hugs," he said.
