One of those rare break-up films that avoids a horrible, saccharine descent into cliche, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is now getting the Fargo treatment and being remade for T E L E V I S I O N.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Anonymous Content, the production company behind Mr Robot and True Detective, will be adapting the 2004 cult film starring Kate Winslet and Jim Carey into a small screen series.
Written by Charlie Kaufman, Michel Gondry and Pierre Bismuth, the film centered around a couple who decide to erase the memories of each other after a painful breakup. Released in 2004, it earned rave reviews and scored the writing trio an Academy Award for best original screenplay.
With production still very much in the early stages, it'll probably be a while until this ends up on your Netflix feed, but we're still pretty excited by the prospect.
