This New Bike Lock Will Spray Disgusting Smelly Gas At Would-Be Thieves

Think again before you stink again, bike robbers

With the right tools, a standard bike lock is defenceless against fitness-minded thieves who want to steal your wheel(z). So there are two options:

  1. Buy a bicycle so pathetic and misshapen that no self-respecting wrongun would be seen dead on it. (our tactic)
  2. Invest in the newly announced SkunkLock, which looks to make criminals barf all themselves by spraying a noxious gas in their face.

You're erring towards the second one, aren't you?

The SkunkLock is the invention of two San Francisco investors, Daniel Idzkowksi and Yves Idzkowski, who grew bored of getting their bikes nicked all the time.

The U-shaped lock, made of carbon and steel, features a hollow chamber which holds stinky gases, that will be released if a thief attempts to tamper with the device.

It's currently in its crowd funding stage, but an $99 (£80) investment guarantees backers a SkunkLock on release in June 2017.
