The UK's 4G Coverage Has Been Ranked One Of The Worst In The World

It's not just you

Nowadays, the world as we know it is just a bunch of people scrambling around for a decent Wi-Fi signal – not least because our 4G networks are more temperamental than a Jose Mourinho press conference.

And now, according to BBC News, we finally have some facts to back up what we've known all along: that the UK's 4G is really, really, extremely bad.

The National Infrastructure Commission ranked Britain 54th in the world for 4G coverage, with investigation leader Lord Andrew Adonis (what. a. name) saying: "Our 4G network is worse than Romania and Albania, Panama and Peru," Adonis said. "Our roads and railways can feel like digital deserts and even our city centres are plagued by not spots where connectivity is impossible. That isn't just frustrating, it is increasingly holding British business back as more and more of our economy requires a connected workforce."

With 5G technology on the way in 2020, hopefully this nation's tech heads will take the damning news as a firm kick up the rumpus, and aim to surpass Peru once and for all.
