The air is attacking us

London mayor Sadiq Khan has issued a 'very high' air pollution alert for the very first time, warning people to take protections against 'filthy air' that could wreak health problems on those most vulnerable.

The dangerous level of air pollution is apparently exacerbated by the frosty conditions we've endured over the past few weeks.

According to londonair.org.uk: 'The long period of cold settled conditions has allowed pollution to build over several days and with no significant change in conditions forecast 'high' particulate pollution is expected across with capital with a chance of "very high".'

So what measures can you take to protect yourself? Besides staying in and ignoring your manager's calls, not a whole bunch.
