This is how it's done

"Don't feed the trolls" is generally a sound piece of advice, but if you are going to engage with the world's unhappiest losers, you might as well do it like Arnie.

Earlier this week the Terminator star posted a video with the Irish ski team who had just won at the Special Olympics in Austria, captioned simply "These guys inspire me."

Predictably, Another Internet Nobody decided to leave a disparaging and offensive comment about the athletes underneath – only to be pounced on by Scharzenegger with all devastating force of a Rambo Roundhouse.

"As stupid and evil as this comment is, I'm not going to delete it or ban you (yet) because it's a teachable moment. You have two possible paths ahead," began the big man.

"Right now, I guarantee you that these athletes have more courage, compassion, brains, skill — actually more of every positive human quality than you. So take their path — you could learn from them, and try to challenge yourself, to give back, to add something from the world. Or you can stay on your path, and keep being a sad, pitiful, jealous internet troll who adds nothing to the world but mocks anyone who does out of small-minded jealousy."

Then the end-move: "I know what you really want is attention, so let me be clear. If you choose to keep going this way, no one will ever remember you."

The exchange has since been deleted, but not before being preserved forever.

It might not be as catchy as 'I'll be back', but this is one Arnie quote that should be resurrected for years to come.
