Russell Brand has admitted he still feels "very warm" feelings towards ex-wife Katy Perry.
The comedian and actor was appearing on John Bishop In Conversation With when he reflected fondly on their marriage which ended after 14 months.
"I have come away from that experience and I still feel very warm towards her. When I hear about her or see her, I think 'Ah, there's that person, that person in the world'."
He also added that their divorce was in part due to their hectic work schedules, and the "undulating nature of fame".
"Katy was obviously very, very occupied and busy. I was occupied and busy but not to the same degree," he continued. "The marriage didn't last for a very long time and I think that is due to the undulating nature of fame, living in those conditions."
Brand welcomed daughter Mabel with partner Laura Gallacher (sister to Sky Sports presenter Kirsty) last November, and he revealed it's changed his life completely.
He also described the "earthed" bond with Gallagher as a "f**king relief".
"The thing that has been the most spectacular thing in my life has been the most ordinary thing: a baby came out, like all of us did, the same experience we've all had.
"The bond between my partner and I is based on something that is very earthed. We are friends, we are very good friends. When I'm talking to her, I'm very plainly chatting.
"I thank God for something normal, something real. Not something that's going to break apart and be nothing."
Meanwhile, Perry previously claimed to Vogue that Brand had announced he was divorcing her via text, and that she had "felt a lot of responsibility for it ending, but then I found out the real truth, which I can't necessarily disclose because I keep it locked in my safe for a rainy day."
