Manchester United are no strangers to regret when it comes to letting players go, just look at how much they had to spend to get back Paul Pogba after dismissing him.
Now after Wilfried Zaha's impressive display against league leaders Chelsea this weekend, and the subsequent interest surrounding the 24 year old, they may be wondering why they ever got rid of him.
Reports suggest that both Arsenal and Chelsea are interesting in signing the Crystal Palace winger with The Guardian claiming Palace are set to offer up a deal surpassing Benteke's £110,000-a-week salary in order to keep him at Selhurst Park.
It appears they have cause to be concerned, as the Ivory Coast international is being by a host of top four teams, following his impressive season of six goals and seven assists in the league.
Last summer Tottenham failed with a £15 million bid for Zaha and have reportedly again made him a priority target ahead of the summer.
Crystal Palace manager Sam Allarydce commented after their surprise win over Chelsea saying, "In today's world, a player of Wilfried's capabilities, if you see them grow and become quality players for your team, and they help you win football matches, it's bound to make interest from other clubs across the world."
He added, "When that day comes, we can't moan about it, because we will have done all we can for Wilf – and Wilf will have done all he can for Crystal Palace — but he's on a long contract, the chairman tells me, so there's not that danger at the moment."
