Following Facebook's move to alert users of fake news, the social network is now joining forces with other tech giants to fight fake news once and for all.

The "New Integrity Initiative" is a research project that aims to help people make informed judgements about news stories and make them better equipped to call out clickbait.
Facebook are one of the founding funders of the initiative which will be administered by City University of New York to increase trust in journalism.
The media department at London School of Economics, along with institutions in France and Germany, will also be involved in research into how news is distributed online.
"We want to give people the tools necessary to be discerning about the information they see online. Improving news literacy is a global concern" said Campbell Brown, Facebook's head of News Partnerships.
This move follows the criticism Facebook received for not doing enough to identity and filter fake news following the US election.
