With gaming news coming thick and fast right now, it can only mean that E3, the world's biggest gaming conference in LA, is well underway. Amongst the reports and rumours come those oh-so-anticipated teaser trailers. While they rarely show any actual game footage, they certainly whet the appetite over what's coming our way. 1 Assassin's Creed Revelations (top)

With this instalment of the hit series set in Constantinople in the early 1500s, get set for some stunning open-world free-running and acrobatic takedowns. For the music fans, that's Woodkid's "Iron" as the soundtrack to the trailer.

2 Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception (above)

Nathan Drake and Victor Sullivan are once again travelling the world in search of a legendary lost city, the Iram of the Pillars (which sounds like a curry house to us, but what do we know). 3 Battlefield 3 (above)

BF3 is a moder-warfare shooter that has got all clued-in gamers itching for a spot of gun play. Expect kick-ass skirmishes in Paris, Tehran, Sarajevo, Sulaymaniyah, New York, Wake Island and Oman.

4 Tomb Raider (above)

The lovely Lara's back in an attempt to reboot the franchise. And it's bloody good to see Ms Croft again – but you'll have to wait until 2012 to get your hands on her (so to speak).

5 Prey 2 (above)

Another first-person shooter, we know. But this sequel to the 2006 original has got a stonking trailer helped along by a nice slice of Johnny Cash. Calling all bounty hunters: fresh work on the alien world of Exodus awaits.

6 Halo 4

The Master Chief returns – in 2012 sadly. But here's a taste to get you Covenant bashers excited. The alien shooter to rule them all is no longer being made by Bungie, so let us pray that 343 Industries don't drop the ball on this, the seventh in the Halo franchise.
