Ed Sheeran's had a couple of unlikely celebrity friendships, but this we never unexpected.
Oscar-winning star Jamie Foxx was promoting his new heist thriller Baby Driver, and while talking about up and coming artists, he revealed ET: "I had Ed Sheeran sleep on my couch for six weeks.
"Before he made it, he came to my crib. So did Anthony Hamilton, Nick Cannon, all these [people]. You gotta press anybody that's got that artistic feel, that touch, you've got to lift them up."
Whether he just means made it in America, it is unclear - as Sheeran took a few years to translate his UK success over to the States.
Foxx also became a "mentor" to 23-year-old Baby Driver co-star Ansel Elgort on set, with Divergent's Elgort adding: "He really spreads the love, and he's so supportive of everything.
"As a young actor walking onto this set - and this goes for Jon [Hamm] as well - I was so excited to do this movie, but I didn't expect any kind of relationship with these guys, where they would be so supportive. [But] they've become mentors.
"He invited me to his house and said, 'Come to the studio, I want to hear your music'. He's been so supportive through everything and it's just awesome because it made this process so much more fun."
Meanwhile, Foxx recently recalled how Oprah Winfrey staged an intervention which saved his career and helped him win his Best Actor Academy Award.
"I'm having such a good time and I'm not knowing I'm f**king up," he told Howard Stern.
"You're blowing it, Jamie Foxx," he remembered Winfrey telling him. "All of this gallivanting and all this kind of shit, that's not what you want to do."
