But one source he's apparently let slip his intentions to is his former manager, Sir Alex Ferguson. The Sunday Mirror claims that that six weeks ago, Ronaldo and the former Old Trafford boss met at a function where Ronaldo aired his grievances about the club.

Metro reports, "It's claimed that Ronaldo's discontent stems from the negative reaction towards him from Madrid fans earlier this season, while the forward also told Ferguson that the relationship between players is 'strained'."

The Portugal international is said to be seeking a 'fresh challenge' and his camp are reportedly willing to accept offers of around €150m (£131m) for the four time Ballon D'Or winner.

Perhaps see if the Sunday League lads can club together and get him down, it'll work out cheaper than he charges for a half day appearance anyway.
