Next level grudge bearing from "Mr Senegal"

One of the few Premier League players who was liked by... absolutely no one. Despite being retired, El Hadji Diouf is still finding new and petty ways to to rub people up the wrong way, particularly Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard.

Oh, and he's also not a fan of Ryan Giggs.

Sitting down with BBC Africa, the self-proclaimed "Mr Senegal" took aim at Gerrard first, saying that he "never did anything for his country," before adding ,"I am Mr El Hadji Diouf, Mr Senegal but he is Mr Liverpool and Senegal is bigger than Liverpool and he has to know that."

While you can't exactly fault the literal accuracy of his statement, we feel like there are some flaws in Mr Senegal's logic.

Moving to Liverpool from Lens after playing fairly well at the 2002 World Cup, Diouf spent two years being a bit of an idiot on Merseyside, before bouncing around Bolton, Sunderland, Blackburn and Leeds... being a bit of an idiot.

But has time healed his bitter wounds? Has it f*ck.

Continuing his anti-Liverpool tirade, Diouf said:"If he (Carragher) wasn't a Scouser, he was never going to play football in his life. I'm sorry for him. I only have this to say for him."

Diouf and Carragher have been open with their disdain for each other, with Diouf once calling the Scouse legend and own goal specialist a "f****** loser", saying that "the difference between Jamie and me is that I am a world class player and he is a s***."

El Hadji also had some strong opinions (shock horror) on Ryan Giggs, although that was more to do with his 'dalliances' off the field, rather than his footballing ability.

Never change, Mr Senegal.
