Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has won four Premier Leagues, five FA Cups and one Champions League in his long career, so he knows a thing or two about celebrating – specifically, when to do it.
So when the 35-year-old keeper found himself holding the International Champions Cup – a pre-season gong which Arsenal won after beating Bayern Munich – he refused to hold it aloft, wagging his finger and telling his expectant teammates "this is not the trophy we lift, guys."
"This is not the trophy we lift! Let's lift the big one at the end of the season. Not this one!"
The young squad, clearly giddy about the fact that they'd just beaten Bayern Munich on penalties, looked disappointed, and his decision has inspired a debate on social media.
