A surprise inclusion in Pep Guardiola's Manchester City squad for the team's pre-season tour of America, sources close to the club have claimed that teammates cannot wait to see the back of Samir Nasri.

Having sort of meandered about for half a decade after a £25 million transfer from Arsenal in 2011, showing just enough talent to keep that contract topped up, Nasri's "arrogant" attitude hasn't exactly endeared him to his colleagues recently.

Reported by The Telegraph, a source close to the City dressing room said: "Some of the players don't understand why Nasri is even here.

"He has an arrogant attitude and doesn't appear to care. He knows he will be leaving and he's turning out to be someone who shouldn't be on the trip. The club can't wait to get rid of him."

Nasri spent the entirety of last season floating about on loan at Sevilla, with City originally wanting £21 million for a 30-year-old who still has two years left on his £170,000 a week contract. But City would, incredibly, now accept £10 million for the Frenchman.

We're sure clubs will be queuing out the door after this latest news.
