Rapper Stormzy then tweeted about the row, asking:

The Catford raid was just one of many searches on Monday which led to 30 arrests.

The Met said: "Officers have been engaged in proactive operations, targeting and disrupting gang crime, drug supply and knife crime that could impact on the safety of carnival weekend. Anyone planning to commit crime at carnival is unwelcome. People can expect to see further police activity."
