If FC Barcelona is a sinking ship, then it's still a really nice one that most players would be willing to go down with.
But not Lionel Messi, who's apparently considering a shock move away following Barca's calamitous summer.
The Argentinian captain is reportedly angry about Neymar's departure from the club, along with the Catalan club's substandard signings. He's yet to sign a new contract, and Barcelona could realistic lose their talisman on a free transfer next summer.
Now The Sun claims that Messi's dad Jorge has met with Manchester City director of football Txiki Begiristain to sound out a move.
If he were to pack his bags for Manchester, he'd be reunited with former boss Pep Guardiola, as well as international teammate Sergio Aguero.
Barcelona are still confident that they can tie Messi down to a long-term contract – but then, they were pretty confident about keeping Neymar too.
