Diego Costa Could Be On The Verge Of A Shock Premier League Move

Conte's finally given in

Ever since Antonio Conte sent his now-famous "thanks, but no thanks" text to Diego Costa back in June, the striker has been hiding away in Brazil, desperately trying to push a move to his former club Atletico Madrid.

Only problem is, the Spanish side are under a one-year transfer ban – so Costa is content to give this season a miss and relax around the pool with a couple of cans.

Conte, less so.

So despite Costa's best efforts (recording himself partying in an Atletico shirt; severing all his professional ties; inviting the MailOnline into his house for a cuppa), Conte has still been trying to flog him around to a number of different clubs.

But now, according to Football.London, Conte is finally willing to meet Costa in the middle. Reports in Spain suggest the striker is set to join Premier League rivals Everton on loan until the end of the season, before making a £30 million switch to Atletico.

When asked about the chances of Costa joining the Toffees this summer, Everton boss Ronald Koeman said: "I don't know. I've said always there's a warm welcome for every good player and he's a good player."

Rooney and Costa in the same furious, terrifying front-line? Make it so, Ronald.
