Leicester winger and former PFA Player of the Year Riyad Mahrez has been allowed to leave the Algeria squad to "formalise" a transfer.
The 26-year-old has long garnered interest from a host of domestic and European clubs, including Roma, Barcelona, Manchester United and Chelsea.
A statement from the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) said Mahrez "was authorised by the national coach Lucas Alcaraz and the Algerian Football Federation to make an express trip to Europe to formalise on Thursday his transfer to his new club. The national team will fly without him on Thursday morning to Lusaka to face Zambia on Saturday."
Arsenal are said to be out of the race, and Roma's rejected bid of £32 million indicates that he'll go for a high fee.
Expect a £300 million bid from Barca by the end of the day.
