Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey penned an Instagram tribute to former teammate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain following his move to Liverpool, and it's pretty clear the Welshman is gutted by the news.

Posting a snap of the two in training gear, he wrote:

"Another of our British boys heading on to new things. Not only have we lost a great player we've lost a great guy in the changing room,"

"It is sad to see you go mate. Had some great memories over the years playing along side you and I wish you all the best with this new chapter in your life," he added before closing out the post with #theOX and #shaaambles."

While the entire post is lightly scathing of the fact that Arsenal are losing their much-mentioned 'British core', it's the inclusion of #shaambles that had Arsenal fans talking.

Many believed Ramsey was lashing out a the club and its owners via hashtag, echoing Gunners fans' reactions to their less-than-satisfactory transfer window.

The midfielder soon edited the post, and clarified on Twitter that 'Shaaambles' was in fact a training ground nickname for his former teammate.
