Well according to AFP, a new study by Dutch scientists at Tilburg and Rotterdam's Erasmus universities posits that a man can reach 114.1 years, while a women can go on to 115.7 years.

Data was pulled from over 75,000 people over 20 years, and while Professor John Einmahl believes that average life expectancy will change over time, he stated that it hasn't changed a lot over the last three decades.

"On average, people live longer, but the very oldest among us have not gotten older over the last 30 years," Einmahl said.

"There is certainly some kind of a wall here.

"Of course the average life expectancy has increased," Einmahl added.

"Nevertheless, the maximum ceiling hasn't changed."
