Another day another fresh piece of heartbreak for Alexis Sanchez, who at this rate should have his own ITV primetime drama.
The Chile striker has said he's "tired of being criticised" following a 1-0 defeat to Bolivia which puts his national side at risk of not making it to Russia for the World Cup next year.
But to his credit he lifted his spirits last night, and the spirits of everyone in North London, with an Instagram post of him wearing his Arsenal shirt and the caption, 'Back Home ⚽️ FOCUS ⚽️''
Whether that focus is in regard to sorting out a new contract elsewhere or putting time into the club is unclear, though he did also upload an image of him holding hands with a bunch of adoring Gooners so it seems he's staying put for now.
If there's space for him, that is. As the Mirror have reported he is, 'doubtful for Gunners' weekend clash with Bournemouth after being branded 'fat''
The speculation comes after Chile's former Under-20 coach Jose Sulantay claimed Sanchez has put on weight due to the uncertainty hanging over his future at Arsenal.
"I saw him gone. I saw him out of physical shape, totally. He's fatter than normal." Sulantay said.
"Without his spark, he never left that Paraguayan defence behind. He never made a diagonal run, it was something else. It was not Alexis," he added.
"This can bring you problems later, the statements of wanting to leave."
If he has been stress eating because of anxiety, well poor chap. Though it seems more likely he's just spent a long summer of doing 'one for you, one for me' at the dinner table with those two glossy pooches of his.
