It all started when, during the press tour ahead of his bout with Floyd Mayweather, Conor McGregor called Mayweather cheerleader Fifty Cent a "fake money bitch".
Fiddy responded as only Fiddy can. Not by offering to take McGregor to sip Bacardi in the club (we heard he prefers whisky, right?) but to beat him down.
Speaking about The Notorious' taunts on US talk show Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Fiddy claimed he'd happily fight McGregor "in the streets" following the fighter's remarks.
"I was like, 'Where did that come from?' you know?'" 50 said, seemingly amused by the whole thing. "But he was doing his job, he was putting on a show and making sure everybody was paying attention," he continued before offering to go toe to toe with the Irishman. "In the street... yeah. Come on, he weighs 150 pounds, man!"
It isn't the first time he's called McGregor out, either...
Posturing, of course, is part of fighting from the playground to the boxing ring, and rappers have been known to show off slightly from time to time, too. But, in the name of stopping the sport getting any more silly, we're calling a truce. Come on lads, we can all laugh about this. Right, lads?
