Leonardo DiCaprio Has Slammed Trump's Climate Change Ignorance

He hit out at the President's careless behaviour

Leonardo DiCaprio has made his biggest donation to climate change to date, and he isn't taking the subject of climate change denial lightly.

Speaking at the Yale Climate Conference, DiCaprio called out President Trump's "astounding level of wilful ignorance and inaction" and announced his foundation will be awarding $20 million in environmental grants "before it's too late".

DiCaprio previously hit out at Trump's "careless decision" to withdraw from the Paris agreement, and unsurprisingly he isn't a fan of how the current administration have responded to recent natural disasters.

The actor said Trump should be "doing the most to protect us". However, he said there seemed to be a steadfast refusal to acknowledge what scientists are saying, despite a number of recent natural disasters, including hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
