It's a good time for horror movies right now.
Over the past few years we've witnessed some unexpected and truly terrifying triumphs, including It, Get Out and The Witch.
But it's not just Hollywood blockbusters that have revitalised the genre. Creep, a low budget indie title released in 2015, was a surprise hit, garnering an incredible 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
A found-footage horror in he vain of Blair Witch, Creep was celebrated for its clever and often odd approach. It tells the story of a videographer who responds to a cryptic online ad, which says: "$1,000 for the day. Filming service. Discretion is appreciated." It goes badly, obviously.
It had a small-scale cinema release in America and arrived on Netflix in the UK. Check out the trailer below:
It was very, very good. So needless to say we're happy/terrified to hear that a sequel is on its way, just in time for Halloween on 24 October.
