Whether it be on TV, radio or Twitter, Ian Wright has never been afraid to put the boot into his former team. In fact, just last month his criticism led to a sassy Instagram post from Arsenal's midfield lazyboy Mesut Ozil.

He's also a card-carrying member of the Wenger Out brigade – and just yesterday on BBC Radio 5, the former striker revealed a surprising choice to replace the Gunners' veteran manager.

"I believe he (Dyche) is somebody that needs to go, at some stage, to the next level. He's an experienced manager in the Premier League. He's done his groundwork with relatively smaller teams and got them set up well," said Wright.

Gravel-toned Burnley manager Sean Dyche has led the Lancashire club to two Premier League promotions and one relegation in 5 years, and Wright believes that given the chance, he could do a job at Arsenal.

"Yeah. The fact is would they give Sean Dyche that job? In respect to how his team sets up when they're defending, he's obviously got acumen - but will he get a job like that? I don't think he will. They'll probably start touting him for the England job. We're so bereft of any manager that's good enough, that can take on the England job. If he carries on like he is he'll probably be pushed into that role," he said.

A word of advice, Sean: If England do come calling, maybe only opt for half-pint of Chablis at dinner.
