Having already felled a legend in the form of Wladimir Klitschko, becoming the most dangerous heavyweight in the world in the process, it looks like Anthony Joshua is about to give fans the homegrown "Mega Fight" they've been asking for (haven't you heard them?).

It's AJ vs Tyson Fury. The big one. The rumble in the concrete jungle (Wembley)?

Get ready.

After Fury sent out a tweet last week that announced his return to the ring in 2018, Anthony Joshua has all-but confirmed that the pair will, finally, be meeting in the ring come next year.

Speaking to Darren Gough of TalkSport, AJ said of the rumoured fight: "We speak man."

"Not like talk - 'what's happening mate,' it's 'I'm going to knock you out, trust me' - me and him will get down and dirty real soon. It's just fighting talk," Joshua continued.

"I've managed to contact him - he's managed to contact me and everything you probably see on social is the same thing that happens behind the scenes."

Joshua was then explicitly asked whether he was one of Fury's opponents, before answering: "Yeah."

HE SAID "Yeah."

Joshua, the IBF and WBA heavweight champion, is currently preparing for his fight with Carlos Takam, which will take place on 28 October, while Fury hasn't fought for nearly two years, after battling with mental health troubles and a failed drugs test.

Despite some well-documented acrimony between the pair, AJ sees the bigger picture when it comes to his heavyweight rival.

"We need people like him it brings out the best in the sport", he added. "It brings eyes to the sport and it benefits everyone," Joshua said.

"I'm looking forward to him getting back and adding a bit more dust to the storm because he's talented he's a good fighter."

Oh this is going to be good.
