If you've ever woken up the day after the night before with the vague recollection of hitting some serious harmonies during a group rendition of 'Passionfruit' in the backseat of an Uber at a grim and ungodly hour, and would thus like to apologise (profusely) to your startled and unerringly patient driver, then the ride-sharing app's new reviewing tool is the one for you.
Rolled out on Friday, Uber's latest feature , aimed at giving customers more insight into who will be driving them, allows users to check previous driver reviews, revealing a treasure trove of compliments, complaints and sheepish apologies for reckless weekend behaviour.
Alongside the well worn driver star rating, you can now see how many "rider compliments" your driver has, as well as Uber-specific "achievements", such as two years of service or five thousand five-star trips.
Despite "losing" its licence in London, Uber can continue to operate in the city while the appeal process is ongoing... which basically means it hasn't really lost its licence at all. Meaning there's plenty more opportunity to apologisefor being such a legend over the weekend.
