What we're listening to - Tennis

Straight off the set of a Wes Anderson flick, husband-and-wife-duo Tennis are set to take the nostalgo-pop genre by (gentle) storm. Hailing from Denver, the pair were inspired by an 8-month boat trip around America's North Atlantic coastline, which explains tracks such as "Bimini Bay" and "South Carolina".

Taking its cue from the scratchy, low-fi style made good by the likes of Camera Obscura and Beach House, our favourite track, "Marathon" is a sugar-coated showcase for Alaina Moore's chirruping vocals and Patrick Riley's insistently fuzzy guitar riffs - and it's simply lovely.

"Marathon" by Tennis is due for release on Underwater Peoples later in the summer.
