What with the glut of half-arsed football matches and year-long tennis games filling our screens at the moment, it's easy to forget that other sports still exist.
If you fancy a break from vuvuzelas and screeching tennis players, we recommend making a trip down river this weekend to indulge in a little horseplay at Ham Polo Club in Richmond.
This Saturday Gaucho Sunset Polo will mark the start of a year-long program of polo-themed events (including the British polo championships in July and a series of international matches throughout September) and will be offering guests polo lessons, wine tasting and the chance to take in a tournament presided over by the self-styled "David Beckham of the polo world", Aldofo Cambiaso, who will be hosting a charity dinner in the evening.
Day tickets for Gaucho Sunset Polo are priced at £10 per person. For further information and to book, contact Matt Ford on email@example.com
