The adidas Rod Laver is an enduring classic, loved by sneaker freaks and trefoil aficionados the world over. Now, thanks to the uber cool Los Angeles store Undefeated, this seminal shoe has gone through the latest, and arguably the most stylish, makeover in its long and illustrious history.
Undefeated, the sneaker collaboration specialists, have given the tennis shoe a luxury look with a high-end holdall theme. Their Rod Laver is made from a quality sand coloured canvas, with leather detailing that includes the tongue and sockliner. The subtle touches continue throughout, from the stitched eyelets, choice of coloured laces, and beige ‘UNDFTD’ on the heel tab of the white midsole, which are finished with a really nice gum outsole.
The shoes are available in the UK from Crooked Tongues, the definitive online sneaker resource for imports and rarities since 2000. Crooked Tongues are no strangers to the world of trainer collaborations either, producing much sought after limited edition shoes with adidas, PUMA and New Balance.
