Over the years, there have been more than a few bands from the Land Down Under that have been tipped for international recognition yet fallen woefully short of their potential. Think Silverchair, Jet, The Vines - and the jury's still out on Wolfmother. Here at Esquire we're keeping everything crossed that things won't be the same for bonza Melbourne foursome The Temper Trap, who have been touted as the finest Aussie band for the last decade. Judging by the quality of this first single, "Science Of Fear", we're quietly optimistic.
Their debut album will be released in August and they'll play various summer festivals, but if you're quick you can catch one of the last few dates of their current UK tour, which takes them Brighton this evening, followed by Leicester, Leeds, Birmingham and York.
