Olympic Sailor Iain Percy Explains His Life At Sea In New Short Film

What is it about the sea that makes some men spend half their life on it? 'Man at Sea' follows Iain Percy OBE, British Sailor and Olympic Champion as he sets sail from Lymington in the New Forest through the Solent Strait to the Isle of Wight on his yacht Strega. Percy, who recently lost his best friend Andrew "Bart" Simpson" in an America's Cup training accident explains the unique relationship between a true sailor and the ocean.

"I've never felt vulnerable from the sea, maybe naively," he says. "I've lost friends who were incredibly good sailors and though I've never felt that vulnerability, the scientist in me says I'm being naive."
