NASA Discover A New Planet. And It's Blue.

NASA has discovered a planet 63 light-years away – or, to put it different, so deep into alien territory it orbits a different star than the sun.

The Hubble Space Telescope not only spotted the snappily named HD 189733b (we preferred when new planets were named after Greek gods, personally) but was able to identify its colour: blue, as the artist’s impression above demonstrates.

The scientists who made the discovery said the planet resembled a "deep blue dot, reminiscent of Earth's colour as seen from space."

Whether there is any other similarities between Earth and HD 189733b we don’t yet know but, as ever, the truth is out there. Way out there. Seriously, it’s too far. Forget it.
