Free Runner Hangs From One Of London's Tallest Cranes

Don't try this at home. Not that you'd want to.

As London’s skyline creeps closer and closer towards the clouds, free runners, daredevils and the wildly uninhibited are taking it upon themselves to scale dizzying heights in order to capture the view.

One such maniac, James Kingston, took it upon himself to scale one of the highest points in London – the red crane on top of the South Bank Tower, which is being renovated.

Thankfully he also filmed it, so you can watch his journey from the relative comfort of a chair.

The two minute clip sees Kingston leap across scaffolding, clamber up the crane’s ladder unassisted and hang off one of the structure’s top bars with just one hand, the wind ruffling his t-shirt.

Just try watching it without that plunging feeling in your stomach. Then go and have a lie down.
