A lot has happened since we last spoke to Williams F1 development driver Susie Wolff. Not only has she since become the first woman to take part in a grand prix weekend for 22 years when she drove first practice in The British Grand Prix at Silverstone, but the 31-year-old Scot has helped her team at Williams Martini Racing to an impressive third position in the F1 Constructors' Championship.

With just three races left in the US, Brazil and Abu Dhabi, it felt like a good time to ask the 31-year-old Scot for her thoughts on the season.

"Many people talk about me entering the history books as the first female in 22 years and what a big moment it was," she told Esquire, "And I'm very flattered that I managed to do something historic, but in all honesty I was out there for me as a racing driver and to show everybody what Susie Wolff is capable of not to put my name in the history books."
