Love him or loath him, you can't deny that Kanye West is leaving his mark, a mark that's become even bigger with the news that his latest album The Life of Pablo is his seventh release to top the Billboard Charts.
The news is even more impressive given the furore that's surrounded the album's release, with services like Spotify and Apple Music only getting the album on 1 April. Before that it was strictly available to subscribers to Tidal, the Jay Z-owned, semi-doomed streaming service.
With 70 percent of the album's units coming from streams - a record - The Life of Pablo might be an indicator of the way we'll be consuming music from here on in. Because really, who's still buying CDs?
Here's a video of Kanye's recent SNL performance, in case you're wondering what all the fuss is about.
