Here's the good news from Maisie Williams's appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden: She has awesome chemistry with Ice Cube. They need to star in a movie together, something like a Ride Along-type movie, but actually good.
While partaking in some light banter on Corden's sofa last night, Ice Cube pointed out, "You have her on the show, but you have a clip of her getting her ass kicked?" It's a good point, Ice Cube, and here's where the bad news comes in: Williams responds, saying "Well that's basically the rest of the season." In the first episode of Season Six, Arya Stark—blind, homeless and begging for money—gets randomly beaten up by a stick by one of The Faceless. It's pretty typical Game of Thrones, to knock a character down then just keep grinding him or her into the dirt. In this case, Arya was blinded at the end of Season Five and now in Season Six, thanks to Williams's comments, we can expect this poor girl to just get her ass kicked the whole time.
This show is evil. But this shouldn't be a surprise, Arya's entire character has basically consisted of her getting trained for various things and getting her ass kicked by various people. But do watch the clip below and take note of Syrio's last words of wisdom to Arya: "My tongue lied. My eyes shouted the truth. You were not seeing ... Watching is not seeing dead girl. The seeing, the true seeing, that is the heart of swordplay." There's probably more to those words than the blood pool around dead Jon Snow.
