All the culture you need to know about this week, including: Jon Hamm's quest to revolutionize baseball, Basement Jaxx's latest LP, the anti-festival festival and your last chance to experience Secret Cinema Club's Back To The FutureMore
Don’t be put off by the fact this is (technically) a Disney movie. The based-on-a-true-story tale of sports agent JB Bernstein travelling to India in an attempt to unearth untapped baseball talent (and make billions of dollars in the process) is worthy post-Mad Men fare from Jon Hamm, and the plot is surprisingly light on cheese. Esquire favourite Lake Bell is also on hand as the love-interest/voice of reason and Alan Arkin turns in a solid performance as baseball's most disinterested talent scout. Watch the trailer here.
Dust off your bongos! Swill out your vuvuzelas! Basement Jaxx are back with a new album after a five-year break that’s full of belting soul vocals, big bouncy beats and uplifting choruses and will have you signing up for a Club 18–30 holiday to Magaluf even though you’re 35.
