Instagram stars like Gigi and Kendall crash the Forbes big league

Forbes have released their annual 'World's highest paid models' list with Gisele 'The Body' Bündchen holding onto the first place crown that she's had since 2002, she's nearly $10m ahead of fellow angel Adriana Lima who took the second spot.

Also on the winner's podium are ex-Victoria's Secret Angel Karlie Kloss and Kardashian sibling Kendall Jenner both coming in at equal third place. Check out the full top 10 below.

1: Gisele Bündchen

Coming in at $30.5 million thanks to big deals with brands like Chanel, Carolina Herrera and Pantene. Then there's her own line of both lingerie and skincare which really push her earnings up.

2: Adriana Lima

Lima first walked for Victoria's Secret in 2000 and thus is the longest serving Angel the brand has ever had - meaning she commands big paychecks. This and her contracts with the likes of Vogue Eyewear and Maybelline are why the Brazilian earned $10.5m this year.

=3: Kendall Jenner

The biggest leap in the list, the youngest of the Kardashian klan has seen a 150% rise in her earnings from 2015 up to $10m. She is the biggest on social media of the list with 6.5m Instagram followers leading to big deals with Estée Lauder, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs and Topshop.

=3: Karlie Kloss

Kloss left Victoria's Secret in early 2015 and has gone on to double her earnings to a £10m fortune. She's had more campaigns than any other model in the Forbes list with the likes of L'Oreal, Swarovski, Chanel fragrance, Topshop and recently Adidas x Stella McCartney.

=5: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Royalties from her underwear and fragrance collections for high-street retailer M&S are what make up the $9m earnings of the English model.

=5: Gigi Hadid

At $9m Gigi Hadid is new to the Forbes list but has amassed a huge Instagram following leading to big deals with the likes of Maybelline and Tommy Hilfiger.

7: Cara Delevingne

Last month's Esquire cover star has dropped from being number 2 on Forbes list last year, but fear not she's still on $8.5m. Cara has focused more on movies like Paper Towns and Suicide Squad this year but prior to quitting modeling had been the face of the likes of Chanel, Fendi, Saint Laurent and H&M.

=8:Liu Wen

With the grand claim of being China's first supermodel, Liu Wen has earned herself $7m through Asia-exclusive deals with Vidal Sasson and Puma as well as global campaigns with H&M and Mango.

=8: Candice Swanepoel

Also sitting on $7m is South African Candice who has contracts with both Biotherm and Maxfactor as well as her big role walking for Victoria's Secret and shooting their campaigns.

10. Miranda Kerr

With a cool $6m to her name, Kerr is another VS Angel who has made more money from her deals with brands like Quantas and Mango. She has also launched her own cosmetics line and, believe it or not, written a self-help book.
