These Are The World's 10 Most Expensive Cities To Live In

Shockingly, London doesn't make the cut

The most expensive cities to live in around the world in 2017 have been revealed and surprisingly, London isn't one of them.

The 13th Annual Demographia International Housing Affordability Survey analysed 406 metropolitan housing markets in nine countries - Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore and the UK.

To find out where the "severely unaffordable major housing markets" are, the study used the "mean multiple" method (the median house price was divided by the median household income) and there's good news for Brits.

Bournemouth and Dorset was the only UK region to be listed in the top 10. It had a median multiple of 8.9, beating the UK's largest housing market in the capital city, which was also found to be pretty high-priced with a ranking of 8.5.

Here are the rest of the world's priciest cities, from 10 to 1.
