After nearly five years on hiatus, Larry David's beloved semi-scripted comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm will return for its ninth season, HBO has announced.

"In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, 'I left, I did nothing, I returned,'" David said in an HBO press release.

Last week, J.B. Smoove, who plays Leon Black, hinted at David wanting to return to the Golden Globe-winning series.

HBO did not share a premiere date for the new season or how many episodes it will run, but as he revealed last week, Smoove definitely wants to return as Leon. Season Eight left off with Larry fighting with a man over a parking space in Paris (where he and Leon traveled as an excuse to get out of plans with Michael J. Fox).
