Game of Thrones's final two episode synopses for season six require a bit of detective work.

We're just two weeks away from this landmark season wrapping up, but we still have 'Battle of the Bastards' and 'The Winds of Winter' to go before the brutality comes to an end.

Here's how HBO describes 'Battle of the Bastards': "Terms of surrender are rejected and accepted."

We know that Battle of the Bastards is a nickname for the showdown between Roose Bolton's illegitimate son Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) and Ned Stark's own bastard Jon Snow (Kit Harington).

Sunday's teaser trailer largely focused on the Boltons and the Stark army clashing for control of Winterfell - but who will be surrendering?

Season finale 'The Winds of Winter' is described by HBO as follows: "Cersei faces her trial."

This one's a bit more clear-cut, since King Tommen (Dean-Charles Chapman) has ordered his mother Cersei (Lena Headey) to stand trial for violating the High Sparrow's moral code.

However, Cersei still seems to have one trick up her sleeve - at least according to chatter she had with Qyburn in 'No-One' about a frightening 'rumour'.

Episode ten's title 'The Winds of Winter' is intriguing on its own - seeing as it's also the name of George R. R. Martin's as-yet-unreleased sixth Song of Ice and Fire novel.

We've heard since season one that Winter is Coming - is it finally time for the Night's King and his White Walker army to wage war on the living?

These synopses were revealed as part of HBO's official Emmy submissions for Game of Thrones

'Battle Of The Bastards' is up for Outstanding Directing For A Drama Series - while directors have been submitted for 'Battle Of The Bastards' (Miguel Sapochnik), 'Book Of The Stranger' (Dan Sackheim), 'Home' (Jeremy Podeswa), 'No One' (Mark Mylod) and' The Door' (Jack Bender).

Game of Thrones will (hopefully) answer all of these questions starting this Sunday on HBO in the US and Monday on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
