At the conclusion of its first season, Stranger Things did its best to tie up most of its main plot lines while also keeping the ending open for a second season. They vanquished the monster from the Upside Down, but when we last see Will he's ominously vomiting up some sort of demon slug. Eleven has sacrificed herself to save her friends, but Chief Hopper is shown leaving some Eggos in the woods. However there was one loose end that was tragically either forgotten about or deemed not important enough to mention again: the death of sweet, beautiful Barb.

The poor young woman with her big glasses, puffy shirts, mom jeans, and social anxiety is taken into the monster's lair and killed. But what about her friends and family? Are they worried about her? Did anyone tell them the truth of what happened? Is anyone still out there searching for her? How do you explain any of this to grieving parents?

Fans have even resorted to making their own home videos that show Barb's mom finding out what the hell happened.

Possibly in response to this frustration, Netflix just shared a video of a vintage 1980s Hawkins newsreel in which the anchor reports that Barbara Holland is still missing.

"When asked to describe Barbara, her friends and peers described her as someone who is loyal to a fault to Nancy—the kind of girl who notices if you're wearing a new bra," anchor Brenda Wood reports.

There are also strange reports of a mysterious child stealing a bunch of Eggos from the supermarket.
