No one knows what's going on in Westworld. It's a theme park where horny rich people have sex with robots, shoot robots, and do other terrible things to robots. And the people running said theme park are petty idiots who are having sex with each other, hungry for power, or just sad and lonely. Otherwise, Ed Harris is looking for some stupid maze, and Dolores and Maeve are preparing to kill all humans.

While we don't have answers and likely never will, what's more interesting than watching Anthony Hopkins hang out with the creepy robot version of his childhood family is making up answers of our own. Some of these fan theories have been better than others.

One fan theory, which I also believe could be the actual twist to this season of Westworld, involves multiple timelines that we're watching play out simultaneously all season. While I've only scratched the surface of this hypothesis in my writing, this video explains the entire multiple timeline theory with far more stunning detail than I could ever hope for. As the video caption notes, "Two of the main storylines—the Man in Black in one, and William and Logan in the other—are actually separated by at least 30 years."
