Game of Thrones is a cruel, violent show on which terrible things happen to terrible people, but more often than not, terrible things happen to good people. This is especially true for Sansa, a character who has been abused and tortured for six seasons relentlessly at the hands of Joffrey, Cersei, Littlefinger, and Ramsey. After she was raped by Ramsey during her horrific time in Winterfell last season, many people speculated that she might be pregnant with his child.

The hint toward this came with Ramsey's final words to Sansa before the scumbag was ripped apart by dogs: "You can't kill me. I'm part of you now," he said.

Sansa being pregnant by this sadist whom her brother killed after liberating Winterfell would be tragic. It wouldn't be a surprising twist, given the show's tendency to assign the most depressing fates to the most beloved heroes.

But actor Liam Cunning hinted that this might not be true this summer, telling TV Guide, "I would imagine it's open to whatever you want it to be, but I think he's saying he's put himself into her head. That's what I took from it... I think he's placed himself in her soul for all the wrong reasons."

But now, the always-reliable fan site Watchers on the Wall has disproved the theory:

I am enormously happy to report that Watchers on the Wall can put a certain "theory" to bed. If any in our readership believed a certain insistent rumor, the following may be a relief to hear: Sansa will NOT be (or get) pregnant in season seven.

Then again, you already knew this if that entire Game of Thrones Season Seven plot that leaked online is real.
