It's truly a bad idea to get your hopes up about anything related to Game of Thrones. Oh, you have a favorite character? He/she will be killed off. You're waiting for the next book? Too damn bad, George R.R. Martin is taking his time. You're eager for the next season? Well, they're debuting it a few months later. Any fan is, after seven years, used to this torture. In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, star Isaac Hempstead Wright (who plays Bran Stark) assured everyone that it's not going to get any better.

He explained where his character is at the beginning of Season Seven:

Bran is in the same position he's in, which is kind of like, "What am I gonna do? What's gonna happen?" Is he gonna tell Jon? Is he gonna find anyone? Is he even going to make it past the Wall? He's only with Meera now, and he's out in the middle of nowhere, so it's not looking great.

Sounds fun!

But what's interesting in this interview is that Wright confirmed Bran knows Jon Snow's true parents. If you'll recall the Season Six finale, Bran watches in a flashback as Ned Stark takes custody of Jon. After his sister Lyanna Stark gives birth, she leans over and whispers the name of Jon's father to Ned. While it's widely believed that the father is Rhaegar Targaryen, the brother of Daenerys, the show hasn't explicitly confirmed this. And we didn't exactly know if Bran actually heard what Lyanna said.

In the interview, Entertainment Weekly pointed out that by knowing Jon Snow's true parentage, Bran has a move he can make in Season Seven. Wright responded, "Oh well yeah, it's like he's a combination of [chess] pieces, a weird spiritual combination."
