This is certainly the funniest account of the Obamas' farewell party you'll ever hear. Chris Rock tells about the night he "died and went to black heaven." Oprah, Jay Z, Beyoncé, and Stevie Wonder were all there—and at one point Rock found himself alone with Michelle Obama. "I'm not really supposed to be alone with Michelle Obama," Rock told Jimmy Fallon last night. "That's not really my lane. I don't know how to talk politics."

And that's something Rock quickly realised that night. "Michelle Obama's like, 'I don't know what we're gonna do. The country.' You know, we're talking about the election and stuff," Rock told Fallon. "'I don't know, I don't know what's gonna happen. This is such a crazy time.' And I go, 'You'll be a'ight.'"

Rock continued to tell Michelle: "'You know, you'll get any kind of job you want. I mean, The View, The Real Housewives of Atlanta.' … And Michelle Obama looks at me like, 'I was talking about the country. I wasn't talking about me. I was talking about the country.'"

So, Rock awkwardly leaves to find someone more on his level—like Charles Barkley.

But, funny as Rock's account of the last White House party is, there's something seriously sad about it - the image of a dejected Michelle Obama sitting alone worrying not about her own future, but the future of her country.

At least Rock can make us laugh about it.
