This would make next month's General Election a lot more interesting.

South Korean broadcaster SBS decided to go a bit off-piste with their coverage of the presidential election results as exit polls suggested liberal candidate Moon Jae-in had triumphed.

But instead of Jeremy Vine presenting the results with his usual range of graphics, SBS turned to Game of Thrones for inspiration and made the election look like a race for the Iron Throne.

So likely president Moon Jae-in found himself superimposed onto a dragon in the fighting pits of Meereen, among other characters, before finally finding himself on the Iron Throne.

Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised by SBS absolutely bossing their country's latest political results though.

After all, last year to cover the general election, they even had some of the politicians involved actually dabbing as they celebrated their victory over their rival candidates. Yes, really.

The petition to have SBS cover the General Election results starts here.
