Emilia Clarke has revealed how she will be voting in the general election – after 'careful consideration', she's going for Labour.

The British-born Game of Thrones star made the announcement on Instagram on Wednesday (7 June) on the eve of the opening of the polls.

Explaining her decision, Clarke implored fans and followers alike to "be a part of our future" and vote.

Next to an image which read 'Vote Labour', Emilia wrote: "Tomorrow we have a chance to be heard.

"After carful consideration this is my choice. What's yours? Tell the ballot box. Be a part of our future."

Also expressing her support for Labour this week (although of course unable to actually vote) was Girls star Lena Dunham, who backed Jeremy Corbyn "to quell the tide of hate and complacency".

If that doesn't lead to a Tory landslide, we're not sure what will.
